Effectiveness of PARASYNE through natural immune stimulation in a risk environment on the paramphistome

Biodevas offers PARASYNE for the complementary management of internal parasitism, a 100% natural, non-biocidal solution that works by preventing oxidative stress, improving epithelial homeostasis, modifying the digestive environment and developing immunity, in conventional and organic farming.

Today, we present the results of a new PARASYNE study on the complementary management of internal parasitism, which demonstrates this immune stimulation action.

We have entrusted the implementation and monitoring of this study to an independent service provider who is an expert recognized for his knowledge of this issue.

Explanation of the study

The objective of this study is to measure paramphistomiasis infestation by maintaining a low rate of infestation in adult cattle throughout the risk period.

In the same farm, from a herd of cattle known to be habitually infested with paramphistomes, 2 batches of 15 dairy cows each were formed (Control batch and Study batch).

The Study group received PARASYNE for 7 days at the beginning of June and the cattle were monitored for 94 days thereafter.

The parameters monitored were parasite excretion measurements by individual coproscopies on D0, D30, D60 and D94 and blood tests on the same dates for immunity markers: white blood cells and neutrophils.

Results of parasite excretion and blood count

At D30, the Parasyne batch expels more parasites. This is the first activity of the product.
At D60, the Parasyne batch shows a 45% reduction in parasite excretion compared to the control group.
At D94, this reduction is 28.21%.

PARASYNE therefore helps to maintain a low infestation rate for up to 94 days after initial use of the product for 7 days.

The PARASYNE batch shows a higher white blood cell count quickly and throughout the duration of the study (up to +20.90% at D30).

The PARASYNE batch shows a higher neutrophil count quickly and throughout the duration of the study (up to +48.48% at D30).

Conclusion

PARASYNE helps to maintain a low rate of paramphistomiasis infestation for 94 days after administration for 7 consecutive days.

An initial effect of expulsion of paramphistomiasis eggs takes place before the implementation of the other actions of PARASYNE on the resilience of the animals.

This study highlights the immune-stimulating action of PARASYNE with a higher production of white blood cells and neutrophils, which are indicators of immune reactions.

A 100% natural product, PARASYNE is not suitable for over-infested animals but helps to manage paramphistomiasis infestation in the entire herd at the same time, avoiding the waiting time for milk and meat.

Suitable for use in both cattle and small ruminants, it is available in several forms (liquid or solid) and is compatible with other ingredients (such as yeasts and probiotics). It can be incorporated into feed or minerals, via drinking water or in top feeding.

PARASYNE can also be used in horses, contact us for more information.
